Addamo entered the final table with the chip lead and held it all the way until heads-up play. He was never really in any danger throughout the day, especially after scooping a massive pot in the early action. From there, he cruised to heads-up play, battled back when he lost the lead, and sealed the deal against a tough opponent in Brazilian powerhouse Pablo Silva.
The win breaks the two-way tie with four-time Super MILLION$ champ Niklas Astedt and lifts him into the top 5 on the tournament’s All-Time Money List with more than $3.5 million in Super MILLION$ earnings.
At this point,, another victory for Addamo shouldn’t be a surprise to poker fans. This week, the surprise was just how fast the victory came. Between Addamo and Silva, they eliminated every other opponent save one and did so in just over ninety minutes.
